Inhibitory effect on the replication of hepatitis B virus
Inhibitory effect on the replication of hepatitis B virus

Exploratory Research

Measured value Ratio to control (%)
Animal species Human
Indication of the result The ratio (%) of the amount of hepatitis B virus (HBV) in the culture medium under test drug treatment to that for the control condition (PBS) is shown. Values less than 100 indicate the inhibition of HBV replication.
Target diseases of assay Infective disease
Assay level Cell-based
Protocol of assay 1) HepAD38.7 cells were seeded on 24 wells plate in tetracycline-positive DMEM medium. 2) Next day, medium was replaced with DMEM without tetracycline and test drugs were added. 3) The culture plates were incubated in the same conditions described above for 9 days. The medium and test drugs were replaced every 3 days. 4) The cultured medium was collected. The DNA amount of HBV was measured by real-time PCR.
