Stimulatory effect on BDNF gene expression
Stimulatory effect on BDNF gene expression

Exploratory Research

Measured value Ratio to control (%)
Animal species Mouse
Indication of the result The ratio (%) of BDNF gene expression under test drug treatment to that for the control condition (Milli-Q purified water) is shown. Values greater than 100 indicate the increase in BDNF gene expression.
Target diseases of assay Brain, Nervous system
Assay level Cell-based
Protocol of assay 1) BDNF-Luc mouse (E16.5) cortical cells were extracted and cultured for 13 days using 96-well culture plate. Neurobasal medium + B27 Supplement (Gibco) was used, and the half medium was replaced with fresh one every 3 days. 2) The cells were treated with crude drugs for 6, 24, or 48 h, or with experimental conpounds for 6 h. 3) BDNF gene expression was measured via luciferase activity by Steady-Glo Luciferase Assay System (Promega).
