Stimulatory effect on hepatocyte growth
Stimulatory effect on hepatocyte growth

Exploratory Research

Measured value Ratio to control (%)
Animal species Rat
Indication of the result The ratio (%) of hepatocyte viability under test drug treatment to that for the control condition without test drug is shown. Values larger than 100 indicate growth of hepatocytes.
Target diseases of assay Digestive system
Assay level Cell-based
Protocol of assay 1) Hepatocytes were seeded onto 96-well plates at 1 × 10^4 cells/well and cultured for 24 h. 2) The cells were treated with test drugs and incubated for 48 h. 3) Cell viability was measured by the absorbance at 450 nm using WST assay with a Cell Counting Reagent SF (Nacalai tesque).
